The programme has been specifically designed to provide our graduates with skills and competencies that are highly sought after by prospective employers. It aims at producing graduates who have a mastery of a range of multimedia design skills, supported by professional skills in the area of visual communication, computing, animation, media production and design management. The Diploma in Multimedia Communication Design focuses on maximising the potential of multimedia as an effective communication tool through content designing, appropriate use of audio / video technologies and its presentation in business, computing technology for developing interactivity in consumer fields and as a medium of creative expression.
Requirements
DMD Entry Requirement
i. Possesses SPM with at least credit in THREE
(3) subjects; OR
ii. Possesses SKM Level 3 / Sijil Vokasional
Malaysia (SVM) (Note: The HEPs are to
conduct screening and provide necessary
guidance specific to the discipline of the
programme); OR
iii. A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in relevant field
with at least CGPA of 2.00; OR
iv. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia
(STPM) with at least Grade C (GP 2.00) in any
subject; OR
v. Other relevant equivalent qualifications
recognised by the Malaysian Government.
AND
vii. Pass an interview (online / virtual /
conventional) OR submission of student’s
portfolio, to be determined by the HEP as
required.
International students
Achieve a minimum score of
High Band 2 in the Malaysian
University English Test (MUET)
or equivalent to CEFR Mid

Pathway
Han Chiang University College of Communication homegrown Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Multimedia and related fields. Students may also opt for Dual Award programmes with University of Southern Queensland (USQ) or further their degree with credit transfer to our partner universities locally or overseas such as Taiwan, China, United Kingdom, Australia etc.
