SPM/O-Level = 10As (only A+&A) - 100%
UEC = 9 to 12 points (3 best subjects) - 50%
UEC = 4 to 8 points (3 best subjects) - 70%

Homegrown Degree programme

UEC = 14 to 16 points (5 best subjects) - 60%
UEC = 9 to 13 points (5 best subjects) - 70%

High School Principal's Recommendation Bursary Award - up to 50%
(Applicable to students from Private or Government (SMK/SMJK) schools. Only one student applicant from each of the Private or Government schools is entitled to this Award for 2021)
Han Chiang High School Principal’s Recommendation Bursary Award - up to 100%
(Only one student from Han Chiang High School is entitled to this Award for 2021)

Secondary School Teacher Recognition Scholarship Award

Foundation/Diploma and Homegrown Degree programme

Either parent must be currently working as staff at a Secondary School - 15%
Either parent must be currently working as staff at any of the Han Chiang Institutions (Secondary, Primary, Teochew Association & Han Chiang Association) - 20%

State Sport Athlete(Tuition Fee Waiver per year)

Foundation/Diploma and Homegrown Degree programme - 30%

National Sport Athlete(Tuition Fee Waiver per year)

Foundation/Diploma and Homegrown Degree programme - 50%

Package Rebate

1 Year Foundation + 3 Years Degree Programme - 100% rebate on Foundation Programme

2 Years Diploma + 2 Years Degree Programme - 50% rebate on Diploma Programme

The closing date of application for new students would be 30 days after the commencement date of Year 1 Semester 1.

PTPTN & EPF

Alternatively, Malaysian students can also apply for financial and national bodies such as the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional, PTPTN) and the Employee's Provident Fund (EPF).

Malaysia Social Entrepreneurs Foundation (MSEF)

MSEF is a scholarship initiated by Malaysia Social Entrepreneurs Foundation for students who in needs for financial support.

I-BITA

I-BITA is a one-off RM1,000 scholarship programme initiated by the Penang State Government for students who have been accepted in its list of education institutions for any Diploma or Bachelor's Degree Programme, including HCUC.  

Students may apply online on the official website
HERE from 1 June to 30 June or 1 September to 30 September every year. Terms and conditions are stated here.
