本课程致力于培养对中国和本土华人文学、 语言、 历史、 文化和思想具有全面认识的毕业生， 熟识各种相关理论， 最重要的是——具有人文关怀和文化修养。 本课程开设两个选修模块， 即学术中文以及创意中文， 以更有侧重与指向地培养本地学术人才与创意写作人。 随着同学们理论知识的提升， 再经系统的培训和实践， 各专业学生毕业后可以有不同的挥发天地——独立进行学术研究， 有利于未来的研究或教学事业； 善批评、 鉴赏， 创作有创意、 意义的文学作品。 课程也设计职场实习， 培养善表达、 推理和组织的毕业生， 有利于他们未来投身文化、 教育、 媒体和出版相关的事业作足准备。

​PEO1: Demonstrate advanced knowledge and analytical, research, and creative writing skills in Chinese Studies to perform effectively in cultural, academic, communication and industry-related careers. 具备扎实的中文专业知识，能够运用分析、研究与创意写作能力，胜任文化、学术、传播及相关领域的专业工作。

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

PLO1:Demonstrate advanced and critical knowledge of Chinese and local Chinese literature, language, history, culture, and philosophy. 对中国及本土华文文学、语言、历史、文化与哲学的进阶知识及批判性思维。

PLO2:Select, evaluate, and apply appropriate research methodologies, theoretical frameworks, and academic or creative writing approaches to investigate issues relevant to Chinese Studies. 选择、评估并运用恰当的研究方法、理论框架及学术或创意写作方式，对中文专业领域的相关课题进行探究。

PLO3:Demonstrate the ability to critically analyse texts, cultural phenomena, or societal issues; produce coherent and academically rigorous writing, and apply informed problem-solving strategies in Chinese Studies contexts. 具备对文本、文化现象或社会议题进行批判性分析的能力；能够撰写条理清晰、学理严谨的作品，并能结合中文专业背景有效解决实际问题。
